Not many times in our lifetimes do we meet someone who steps away from doing the easy thing-the way things are always done-to be part of creating a world the way it should be. I met that person in Brooke Warner at She Writes Press, an alternative publisher created to give voice to women writers. After a year's worth of zoom meetings, I got to meet her in person with fellow SWP writers at Book Passage in Corte Madera. What an amazing community of supportive women, all with compelling stories that feed the mind and enrich the soul. Women who form a community so that they can help other women succeed. Thank you, Rita Gardner, Evelyn Kohl La Torre, Linda Joy Meyers, Brooke Warner, Rita Sever and every one of the SWP team.
