My victory lap. Back in Jackson Heights, Queens, at my beloved public library, after climbing out a two-story window to run away from my abusive, mean family, not knowing how damaged I was, only to fall prey to a manipulative church-like cult, that took years to escape. I won. I overcame and thrived. It was hard work, but it can be done. A special thanks to Amy Willis and Luis Aucapina who hosted me to discuss my book, Redeemed A Memoir of a Stolen Childhood.
One of the many joys of publishing a memoir has been the validation and appreciation I get from my readers. It sustains me and lets me know it was a worth it.
"Thank you again for writing "Redeemed." I would say it's the best book I've read this year!"
Take care

The top right window is the window I climbed out of to escape my abusive family. My friends, Kathy and Kevin Pike and their gang caught me when I ran out of pants-rope.(In the books their names were Fiona and Niven.)
