From kindergarten to high school, I got to be the mother I always wanted to have - to my son. While his high school graduation is a celebration of his hard work, I can't help but rejoice that I have broken the chain- that his life has been better and easier than any I ever dreamed of, and I am proud of that. That he had two parents at his graduation while I had none. That he has a place in a great college while I was prevented from going at all. That he is a happy, healthy, popular, and very loved by all. It's all I ever wanted and was able to give it him. To me, that's redemption. I am proud of him, but I am proud of me, too.
My book, Redeemed, A Memoir of a Stolen Childhood will be published June 25, 2024. Keep checking for book cover and other details.
